Its been a hectic 3 years for the team at Transport Door Solution since its launch in June 2006 as part of the McGregor Young Group. The Dutch owned door company Ventura Systems has taken a 25% stake in the business and has appointed T.D.S. as its sole UK spares and service agent. Not content with supplying their own pneumatic glider door systems to a major bus building group they have developed their own unique electric door drive system and have recently supplied systems for two light rail vehicles and are supplying systems to a major welfare body builder
As well as supplying common UK door spare parts to all of the major bus operators, their resident design engineer Alan Wilson has been kept busy developing a range of recently launched cost effective universal spool valves and pneumatic cylinders for all UK door systems.
To keep the momentum going their current projects include a joint development with Ventura for electric plug door systems and the manufacture of Ventura UK supplied doors at their Winsford manufacturing centre.
